Behind the bakery and café is a buzzing factory where internationally trained chef and founder, Franz Lieber and his tight knit team create an amazing array of gourmet pies that are all ‘made with love’.

Every Fairlie Bakehouse Pie is made – by hand – in Fairlie, the Mackenzie Country’s bustling main township. The pies might look as old-fashioned as a hand-knitted vest, but the Fairlie Bakehouse Pie factory is a slick, shiny operation.

Franz and Sophia, alongside their team invite you to enjoy one of their delicious baked goods, whether it be a pie or a cronut there is something for everyone from this ‘heavenly’ outfit. Our menu is constantly changing.  From fresh, cream filled donuts, home-made bread, muffins or rich, flaky bee-stings there is sure to be something to tempt the tastebuds and be enjoyed with our barista-made coffee. We also cater for a range of dietary needs including gluten free or vegetarian.
