Join the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce for an open, business-focused discussion with candidates from the top 6 polling parties seeking to represent the Rangitata electorate in Parliament. Timaru District Mayor Nigel Bowen will serve as the MC for the event.
This informal and interactive event gives Chamber members and the wider public an opportunity to hear directly from each candidate, understand their priorities for Rangitata, and ask questions about the issues affecting South Canterbury businesses, communities and regional growth.
The evening will include brief candidate introductions, responses to selected business questions from the economic policy platform launched ahead of the 2026 election – ‘Growing New Zealand from the South’, a facilitated audience Q&A, and informal networking.
