The Grand Traverse is a magnificent flight encompassing over 200 km of New Zealand’s most memorable and spectacular scenery. With approximately 50 minutes flying time, The Grand Traverse reveals golden tussock lands, turquoise glacier lakes, remote high country sheep stations amongst New Zealand’s highest mountains and largest glaciers. Helicopter flights. Air Safaris operate a Bell 206 Longranger, offering year round alpine and seasonal snow landings on 3 different flight options of 35, 45 and 60 minutes in duration. Each has a (seasonal) snow landing, or a touchdown in a secluded alpine setting with magical views.
