Peel Forest Outdoor Centre is a non-profit outdoor education provider located next to Peel Forest Park Scenic Reserve in South Canterbury, adjacent to the Rangitata River and at the foothills of the Southern Alps.

We provide safe, high-quality outdoor education opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Our programs are designed to educate, challenge and inspire.

Our team of qualified instructors are highly trained with a current first aid training certificate, NZRA and NZOIA qualifications. They are dedicated to ensuring you have a quality outdoor experience, high on adventure, fun, education and truly memorable.

We offer a large range of programmes and we specialise in custom designed programmes with a large range of land and water based activities and learning outcomes chosen to suit each individual or group.

Outdoor Skills – High-quality courses in a number of disciplines including rock, kayak, alpine and bush, river safety and rescue.

Youth – Young people are at the heart of what we do. Full range of courses and programmes for all ages including Holiday Programmes, Duke of Edinburgh, School and Groups.

Hauroa & Team Development – we train groups wanting to develop their teamwork and leadership skills including Teams and Business, Sponsored Programmes and Eddy Out.

Eco-friendly Accommodation – We have a variety of ecologically friendly accommodation options aiming to use a variety of benign technologies to lesson the effect that we have on Earth. Accommodation options suited to individuals, schools and large groups.
