South Canterbury Rugby Football Union

SC Rugby was formed in 1888. Over the 136 years that SCRFU has been in existence we have proudly serviced our local community. While recent focus has been centred on our highly successful Men’s Heartland Team who have won the Meads Cup competition for the past 3 years and the individual awards that come with that, we are very much focused on the development and participation of our JAB( Junior Rugby) ,Teenage, Women and Girl players.

We have 16 registered Clubs of which 8 compete in our senior competition. (8 men’s / 3 women’s) We have over 2700 registered players, coaches, and referees along with many hundreds of volunteers that play and support our game.

We are looking forward to relocating back to the redeveloped Fraser Park later in 2024, home of South Canterbury Rugby and a multi sporting complex to many codes, along with function and business hub servicing the wider region.
