Welcome to Southern Sky Roasters, the highest-altitude coffee roastery in New Zealand, located at 750 m. Nestled in the heart of Lake Tekapo, our fair trade, organic coffee beans are roasted with the clean, high-altitude alpine air of New Zealand's Southern Alps and the Canterbury High Country. Drop in and visit our artisan roastery, located at 33 Mistake Drive, to purchase some freshly roasted coffee. We have whole beans, or we can grind to whatever your needs may be: plunger, stove top, espresso, drip coffee etc. EFTPOS available. Look out for our roadside sign at the entrance to our premises.

Committed to ethical practices, they source organic, fair trade coffee beans through Trade Aid importers, supporting global sustainable farming practices.

Artisanal roasting techniques are then employed to enhance the coffee beans’ unique flavours, reflecting the tranquility and purity of the air in their surroundings. They have collaborated with Christchurch-based Stonker Roasters to handcraft a bespoke roaster, that is now the heart of their operations.
