South Canterbury RSA has decided that we will be holding a Dawn Service at 6.00am at the Cenotaph, followed by a Cemetery Service at 6.45am. Due to Covid-19 there will unfortunately be no other commemoration events this year. SCRSA also not be holding an after match function, however the Timaru Town and Country Club will be open for normal trading from 1.00pm.
The Artillery Gun will be fired at 10.00am at Caroline Bay.
Due to the cancelation of a lot of the local Anzac ceremonies South Canterbury Highland Pipeband will be holding its own ceremony at 11am at the Piazza, Timaru.
We will play a few selections of tunes, the Ode will be spoken followed by a minutes silence. We will also have a lone piper playing at Timaru Cenotaph at dawn.
