Understanding Addiction is an informative evening which will bring two extraordinary stories of recovery and hope told in person by Michael Lye and Lucky Te Koha.

Come along and listen to their inspiring stories and walk away knowing you have the information, resources, knowledge, and support for yourself, your whānau, friends, clients, and more. This talk is for family members, friends, colleagues, support workers, and anyone who may know someone struggling with addiction. If you are struggling with an addiction, this is a great opportunity for you to take the first steps for yourself through your addiction recovery journey.
This is a free community event and has kindly been funded and hosted by Te Rito Collaboration in conjunction with Presbyterian Support South Canterbury. Thank you to Grantlea Downs School for providing a warm, welcoming space to host this talk. To ensure cost isn’t a barrier to attending, we have made it free however, if you wish to make a koha at the door, this will go towards then cost of running the event.
A light supper will be provided. At the end of the talk, there will be plenty of time to have a chat with our speakers or other guests.
