Experience Waka Ana

COME EXPERIENCE WAKA AMA WITH US! As part of Sea Week Timaru, Te Aitarakihi Marae ā Iwi is proud to be joining forces with Waitaha Paddling Club to bring you an epic day out on the water at Caroline Bay!  This is our very first open Waka Ama event for the hapori — and we couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with you all. Whether you’ve never touched a paddle before or you’ve always wanted to give it a go, this is your chance to jump in and feel the rhythm, teamwork, and wairua of waka ama.

• All ages welcome
• All fitness & skill levels welcome
• Basic instruction provided
• Life jackets & paddles supplied

You’ll be guided by experienced crew in a safe, supportive environment — all you need to bring is your your swimming gear, a towel, and a sense of adventure!

Come down, show your support, and be part of something special, we hope to build on this for the future so watch this space.
